On behalf of Yıldız Technical University, we cordially invite you to the 4th Annual International Conference on Social Science in Yıldız Technical University, jointly organized with İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim University and Gebze Technical University. The Conference is going to take place on Zoom on 10-11 September 2020. AICSS aims to bring together researchers, scientists, scholars and students to exchange and share their experiences, reconceptions, and research results on the main conception of identity in social sciences from interdisciplinary perspectives.
The main theme of AICSS 2020 covers “Identity, Economics and Politics”. Along with increasing importance of mainly social identity issues at national and global scale in the recent years, showing themselves especially in economic, politic and social spheres, including economic decision-making processes, poverty, immigration, deprivation, social exclusion, inequality, welfare state and social and political clashes among different identities, it turns out to be a crucial attempt to give more academic inquiry to these issues. Considering the lack of academic emphasis given to these issues, we want to bring together different perspectives of scholars studying on this subject through this conference. Hence the Conference themes address a wide range of issues related to the concept of Identity from a multidisciplinary perspective. AICSS 2020 welcomes participations by scholars of Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Humanities and Arts, Law and any related issues
AICSS 2020 is an internationally double-blind reviewed conference. Official language is English. In addition to individual presentations, AICSS 2020 also welcomes proposals for panels. Panel proposals should include a title, full name and affiliation of panel organizers, and panel description (max. 300 words).
Papers are published in the conference proceedings and selected papers from those presented at the conference will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Yıldız Social Science Review.

ORHAN GALJUS
Orhan Galjus was born in Prizren, Republic of Kosovo, and lives in the Netherlands. Graduated from Journalism department of Yugoslavian Institute for Journalistic Studies in Belgrade in 1987, and continuing master's education in Mass Communications, London Metropolitan University. He is the president at Eurasian Roma Academic Network, vice president at European Roma Union, and CEO at Radio Patrin & Patrin News Network. He has extensive expertise in European media in particular regarding minority human rights, minority and Romani media as well as Romani community issues. He is the narrator, protagonist, and co-producer of the documentary film on Roma genocide "Broken Silence". He gave lectures in Romani Language and Civilization at INALCO Uniersity Paris, France in 2010-2011. As a speaker of Romani, English, Ex-Yugoslavian languages, Albanian, Slovak, and Russian, he translated various text books and documents as well as making simultaneous interpretations. He worked as program manager and communication program officer at Open Society Institute's Network Media Program - Roman Media Fund and Roma Participation Program.
